Start by choosing an avatar. This avatar will represent you in Imvu so choose it carefully, but don’t worry: You can change it later if you want to

Choose an avatar name or username (Be aware of the fact that a lot of usernames are already taken, so you might have to come up with a new one if you can’t register the one you want.)
Choose a password (Use at least 8 characters)
Fill in your email address
Enter your date of birth
Indicate if you want to receive emails (but it’s not an obligation)
Click on ‘Create Imvu account’ when you’re ready.

 3  DOWNLOAD IMVU NOW

 4  INSTALL THE SOFTWARE BY CLICKING ON THE .EXE FILE

 5  LOG IN TO YOUR ACCOUNT BY ENTERING YOUR AVATAR NAME/EMAIL ADDRESS AND PASSWORD

  CONGRATULATIONS, YOU CREATED YOUR ACCOUNT

We have now created our own Imvu account and have downloaded and installed the software.

Start by filling in your first and last name 

Your username is going to become your email address (e.g. msailushamusengi@gmail.com). Be aware of the fact that a lot of usernames are already taken, so you might have to come up with a new one if you can’t register the one you want. (If it’s taken, you’ll see a message: “That username is taken. Try another.”

Mobile phone number is optional, but I believe it’s very important to fill it in. Why? Well, if one day you forget your password, this is an easy recover method to access your profile.

Your current email address has the same purpose as the mobile phone number. In case you forget your password one day (or if it was hacked), this second email address can save you.

Location is already filled in, based on where your IP address is located

Choose ‘Next step’ when you’re ready

 3  SCROLL DOWN THE PRIVACY TERMS PAGE UNTI

 THE ‘I AGREE’ BUTTON TURNS BLUE, THEN CLICK IT.

 1  DOWNLOAD THE LINE APP FROM THE APP STORE

 2  TAP ON ‘SIGN UP’ WHEN THE APP OPENS

 3  CHOOSE 1 OF THE 2 METHODES TO SIGN UP: FACEBOOK OR PHONE NUMBER

To sign up with your phone number, enter your phone number right below the country name
To create an account using Facebook, choose ‘Login with Facebook’ at the bottom
It’s up to you to choose which method you prefer, in this example I’ll proceed with the phone number registration.

 4  CHOOSE VERIFY PHONE NUMBER AFTER YOU’VE ENTERED IT

 5  ENTER THE 4 DIGIT CODE YOU RECEIVE NOW BY SMS, THEN CHOOSE ‘NEXT’.

Don’t postpone this because the code is only valid for 30 minutes.

 6  ENTER THE USERNAME YOU WANT TO HAVE

Optionally, you can also:

Upload a profile picture
Choose to auto add friends
Allow others to add you
Tap on ‘Register’ when you’re ready.
